What to do if you’re intimidated by someone

We’ve all, at some time, been nervous around someone: a person whose force and purpose is a little intimidating. Dare I say…you’re a little scared of them ? Here’s how to cure it.

Ask them to do something for you. Something reasonable, that’s easily achievable for them.

There will be one of two outcomes:

1: You will never see them again. Bullies avoid situations where they can’t play their own game, and so they’ll leave you alone. Or….

2: They’ll do what you ask, and a subtle psychological shift called the Benjamin Franklin effect will kick in (Google it), so they will then see you as someone they like because they’ve done something for you.

Either way, problem solved.
