Oakman Inns is #8 in 2015 Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for, and won two awards at this years' prestigious Publican Awards: we won the Best Community Pub Operator, and our CEO, Peter Borg-Neal, was voted Business Leader of the Year.
Fotec was a Microsoft Gold Partner based in Hemel Hempstead,delivering IT project and infrastructure support for organisations with between 10 and 500 users. I took the role of Chairman when the company was making significant losses, and after 18 months the company had been turned round, revenues grown by 35%, and sold in an all-cash transaction.
Vistorm was an Information Security company with offices in Oxford, London and Warrington. I founded the company with Charlie Sharland and Tony Bolland and was Business Development Director for 6 years. We grew revenues from £1m to £34m, raised to £25m in venture capital, and sold in the 3rd round of funding to HP. The company is now very successful as HP Information Assurance.
Appsense was a software company focussed on enterprise-level scalability of virtual desktops with offices in UK, Europe, Australia and the U.S. I was one of the founders of the company, and mentored the CEO from startup through to $10m revenues. The company was sold to Landesk in 2016 for well over £100m.
